Why use a tonic lotion?
The tonic lotion is a face care that is very little done by men. For lack of knowledge quite simply on the interest of doing such a treatment. It's normal, the tonic lotion is not yet part of the products offered by the brands, with the exception of a few. Interest of a tonic lotion
The tonic lotion will come in addition to thermal water or floral water to cleanse the skin, especially in depth by eliminating dead cells (and thus avoid exfoliating the face every day ). If you ever wear make-up, the tonic lotion will also allow you to remove the remains of make-up. I did say remove the remnants of make-up, because the toning lotion is not a make-up remover. Of course, deeply cleansed skin is clearer skin, and therefore more radiant. It will also be able to absorb the active ingredients of the following facial treatments more effectively.
Which tonic lotion to choose ?
It is essential to choose a tonic lotion according to your skin type ( if you do not know your skin type, you can find my article here ). It is preferable to choose an organic and as natural tonic lotion as possible, based on essential oils or floral waters of sage, rosemary, tea tree... The tonic lotion will allow oily skin to eliminate excess sebum.
When to use toner
It's very simple, the tonic lotion is to be used as soon as you do a facial treatment, morning and evening. The gesture is very simple, just put some tonic lotion on a cotton pad (preferably washable to avoid waste). Simply pat the cotton ball onto your facial skin, working from bottom to top. Do not rub the cotton on your face, the objective is to make it penetrate the skin gently.
After applying a toner, the next step in your beauty routine is the serum. Apply the serum to your skin still moistened by the tonic lotion, the active ingredients of the serum will penetrate better into the epidermis.
