How to stop bleeding after a razor cut?
Ah the bleeding after a shaving cut. A whole story for me. If you've read my article on Gillette SkinGuard Sensitive razor blades , you can see that shaving is a real obstacle course. Having very sensitive skin, not to say hyper extra mega sensitive and dry skin, as soon as I shave, especially around the neck, I have bleeding after a razor cut. So much so that I let my beard grow for 3 days precisely to avoid bleeding after a shaving cut on the face, especially the cheekbones and chin. And when I have to shave my neck, I usually do it in the evening, before going to bed: at least that will have time to heal a little during the night and not show up disfigured in front of my colleagues!
How does bleeding happen after shaving?
As much for me, the bleeding is due to very sensitive skin. But in other men, bleeding can be caused:
by changing a razor blade, which is sharper,
because you are using a used and damaged razor blade. It thus has like streaks, the blade is no longer smooth, which will irritate the skin and can therefore cause a cut.
by a lack of attention
by a gesture too fast because you only have 2 minutes to shave so as not to arrive late for work!
In short, there are multiple reasons for cutting and bleeding after a shaving cut.
Between us, it's not very aesthetic, so here are my tips for stopping bleeding after a shaving cut.
Natural remedies to stop bleeding after a razor cut
The ice cube to stop bleeding after a shaving cut
Ice cubes are very effective in tightening the pores of the skin, after a good hot shower thanks to the thermal shock created. But the ice cubes, in the event of a cut, will also help to tighten the pores of the skin and therefore the blood flow. Well, use it after you apply it to your armpits... men's deodorant can indeed be effective because many of them contain aluminum chloride. Well, if you have a natural deodorant, you won't. The aluminum chloride at the base serves to constrict the sweat glands. It also helps to constrict blood vessels.
Alum stone to stop bleeding after a shaving cut
If you don't use an unnatural deodorant, chances are you have an alum stone in your home. Alum stone for the beard will be effective in stopping bleeding after a razor cut because it provides an antiseptic and drying effect. Of course, before any use of the alum stone, it is necessary to moisten it.

The best remedy after a razor cut: the haemostatic pencil
Well, I put it last because generally when you need it, of course, you don't have a hemostatic pencil in your bathroom. Even I, who bleed a lot, never think of buying one! There are different kinds, either natural hemostatic pencils which generally contain alum stone. Or classic haemostatic pencils which contain aluminum hydrochloride. In any case, before applying the pencil to the wound, tapping, it will be necessary to clean it beforehand, with cold water.
