How to moisturize your dry feet?

Moisturizing your dry feet is a necessary care to do for good foot health. Here are all my tips for properly moisturizing your dry feet.

We are all looking for beautiful feet, especially when summer arrives and we have to get out the flip flops or the flip flops. Even when we have to walk barefoot on the sand, by the pool or simply at home because it's hot. In short, our feet are clearly visible and it is out of the question to have them dry. And yet, we are all confronted with dry feet but few of us, especially men, moisturize our dry feet. An essential care.

Here are my tips for doing a good foot peel.

Why should you moisturize your dry feet?

If we have dry feet, it is mainly due to the absence of sebaceous glands on the skin of the feet. The sebaceous glands are indeed responsible for the production of sebum. So generally, sebum is feared because it is notably responsible for oily skin and the appearance of pimples and blackheads. But you should know that sebum is also an essential element to nourish the skin, moisturize it. Since the feet have no sebaceous glands, they are considerably drier than other parts of the body. This is the reason why the heels are usually dry or cracked.

Similarly, and this mainly concerns women, but it can also concern men, the habit of not putting socks in certain shoes causes the foot, and especially the heel, to be in direct contact with the shoe.

Thus, to protect yourself, calluses, corns or even calluses  or even cracks will appear on the foot (generally at its ends, such as the heel or the toes). This is called hyperkeratosis. This means that the most superficial part of the epidermis will thicken to protect itself. Hyperkeratosis can become painful from the moment or cracks for example will split.

So, to avoid this, it will be necessary to moisturize your dry feet.

To properly moisturize your dry feet, you have different options.

The first thing you need to do to moisturize your dry feet is to simply apply moisturizer. But be careful, you should not put any moisturizer on your feet, you will have to choose a rich cream. Thus, a cream that will be more concentrated than your moisturizer for the face. Remember that your feet don't have sebaceous glands like your face. A rich moisturizer will not only be important to moisturize your dry feet but also to repair feet damaged by cracks in particular.

It will be advisable to apply the moisturizer to hydrate your dry feet in the evening before going to bed or after taking your shower or your bath. Since a rich moisturizer is thicker than a regular moisturizer, it will take longer to penetrate the skin of the feet. It will therefore be necessary to make good circular massages to make it penetrate better.
