A lot of men hunt for chest hair. It is true that at a time when a lot of men enroll in gyms and do weight training, showing off their well-defined pecs is almost an obligation. Once a taboo subject, shaving for men has become completely democratized, and they no longer hesitate to talk about it among themselves. Moreover, it is not only the torso that men shave, they can indeed shave the whole body, such as the legs or the arms.

Why shave your chest?
There are many reasons why men decide to shave their chest:

Shave your chest to show off your pecs! It's a bit like what I said in the introduction to the article, more and more men are doing bodybuilding, and especially working on the pectorals. Also, as soon as they are well drawn, and when the good weather arrives, it feels good to show them off! And with hairless, they are more visible.
Should you shave your chest hair?
Whether to shave your chest hair is a very personal matter. In any case, you should know two things if you are wondering whether to shave your chest hair or not:
Shaving your chest is no longer a taboo subject. If you're worried about shaving your chest and getting negative comments for showing it, fear not! Shaving the torso has become perfectly accepted.
shaving your chest does not take away the manly side! There was still this image a few years ago that having chest hair made you a man. Kind of like having a beard. Today, this is absolutely no longer the case! So shaving your chest hair won't take away your masculine side!!
Also, deciding whether or not to shave your chest hair is simply a personal matter: you do what you want!
My tips before shaving your chest
Before you start shaving your chest, here are some tips for preparing for the shave.
Before shaving your chest, take a shower
This is advice that I always give whenever I talk about shaving or hair removal for men : it is advisable to take a shower before shaving. The hot water from the shower will indeed have the effect of softening the hair on the chest and thus making it more supple. This will make it easier to shave.
Before shaving the chest, trim the hair!
This is advice that will mainly concern men who have relatively long chest hair, and especially very dense. Trimming your chest hair will simply make shaving easier. Shorn chest hair will allow the razor blade to pass better over the chest. This will save you time.
You can use your beard trimmer to do this, or a body trimmer if you have one.
4 beard combs (1, 2, 3 & 5 mm) + body comb and protection system for sensitive areas. Effectiveness without irritation or cuts
Self-sharpening blades for comfortable mowing and impeccable styling
The protection tool preserves the most sensitive areas of your body
How to shave your chest?
Now that your chest is ready, here are my tips for shaving your chest.
Apply shaving product to shave the chest
It is true that the skin of the torso being thicker than the skin of the face, we sometimes have the impression that it is not necessary to put on a shaving product. And yet, the skin of the torso can also be fragile! You may as well have shaving cuts. I therefore advise you to systematically put a shaving product on your chest, whether it is a shaving foam, a shaving gel or even a shaving cream. In any case, do not apply your razor directly to the skin.
I advise you to use a shaving oil or shaving gel, which is transparent. This will give you full visibility of what you are shaving. Thus, you will not pass several times on the skin, it will be less attacked.
Designed for shaving the male body. Rounded head for maximum comfort. Three lubricating strips for maximum softness. Non-slip ergonomic handle.
The anti-irritation shaving gel allows easy shaving of body hair without irritation.
Suitable for the shower.
Use a good razor to shave the chest
To shave your chest well, you are spoiled for choice:
either you can use your classic razor that accompanies you to shave your beard. Be careful, however, to check the condition of the blade: a bad blade could cut the hair badly and therefore promote the appearance of ingrown hairs.
To shave your chest, you can also use a straight razor or a safety razor , since the visibility for shaving your chest is perfect. But be careful, if you are new to these two shaving accessories, I do not advise you to use them in a hurry, otherwise you will cut yourself.
In any case, while you shave your chest, pay close attention to your nipples, do not cut them. Also, take great care not to run the razor blade over your moles if you have any. Go around them and if they have hair, do not hesitate to take tweezers.
Shaving your chest: what to do after shaving
Now that you have a perfectly smooth torso, it is necessary to apply some care.
Shave your chest and moisturize
Hydrating your body after shaving or hair removal is an essential step. Indeed, your skin has been attacked by the razor blade, it is necessary to reinforce its protection. And hydration is the best way to protect skin. To do this, as soon as you have finished shaving the chest hair:
apply your usual aftershave.
or apply a moisturizing body lotion.
if you don't have these two products, you can apply your daily moisturizer.
In any case, do not use a product that contains alcohol, it could burn you a little, the feeling would not be pleasant.
Shave your chest and exfoliate
Exfoliation of the chest is an important treatment to do 3 to 4 days after you have shaved your chest hair. It will indeed allow you to avoid the appearance of ingrown hairs on the chest. Ingrown hairs that not only don't look very pretty, but can be painful when infected. If you shave your chest it's to have a perfectly clean chest, not to have lots of pimples.
