How to remove an encrusted blackhead?

Blackheads are a real challenge for our facial skin, but also for the skin of the back and certain parts of the body. We can have blackheads all over the body because sebaceous glands, which produce sebum, are everywhere. In greater or lesser quantity depending on the parts of the body. As much as it is sometimes easy to remove blackheads , some resist, these being in depth. Even anti-blackhead patches are not effective. And yet, as it is very visible, it ruins our lives! We indeed spend long moments in front of the mirror to try to remove an encrusted blackhead but we generally come out disfigured!

Here are my tips for removing an encrusted blackhead.

Remove an encrusted blackhead with a steam bath

If you have an encrusted blackhead, I advise you to start by steaming your face to try to remove it. This will most certainly be the most effective but also the most delicate solution for your skin. By steam bath, I also mean facial sauna, which is the other term for it. The objective in carrying out this steam bath will be to dilate the pores of the skin, to open them and therefore to ensure that the blackhead is not also linked to the skin of the face.

To make a facial steam bath, you have three options:

  • or you use your inhalation device.

  • either you use a pan of water or a fairly wide and deep kitchen utensil.

  • or you use a specific device to make steam baths that you buy on the market.

Here are the different steps to perform a steam bath to remove an encrusted blackhead:

  • cleanse your skin well by exfoliating your face. This will help remove all impurities from your face before the steam bath.

  • bring 1 liter of water to a boil. You can put sprigs of mint or rosemary in the water to make it more pleasant.

  • remove the water from the heat as soon as it boils and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes

  • take a large towel to cover your head. This will prevent water vapor from escaping. The towel should not only cover your head but also the container.

  • expose your face to steam for 8 to 10 minutes;

  • wash your face with clean water and pat dry.

Here are the two products that I recommend for a steam bath.

Frequent use of Measteam Revolution helps to fight lastingly against blackheads and impurities, stimulates blood circulation in the face and facilitates the penetration of the active ingredients contained in skincare creams and masks.

The blackhead vacuum cleaner to remove an encrusted blackhead

A blackhead aspirator, also called a blackhead extractor, can be an effective solution for removing stubborn blackheads. Indeed, the advantage of blackhead vacuum cleaners is that they offer different suction forces. Be careful though, because a blackhead vacuum can be dangerous and cause skin damage if used improperly.

I therefore advise you to use the weakest suction strength at the beginning and gradually increase according to the reaction of your skin. To make it more effective, and thus avoid using the greatest force, do a steam bath before using the blackhead vacuum cleaner. Your skin will thank you.

I recommend this Moysen brand vacuum cleaner.

The blackhead remover can be a solution to test first if you want to remove a blackhead embedded in the skin of the nose or even on the back (by getting help for the job). The blackhead remover will indeed help you remove a blackhead without using your nails, which will leave traces in the skin, or even infect it. Nevertheless, it is necessary to use a comedone extractor properly. If the blackhead is really encrusted, deep, I also advise you to do a steam bath beforehand.

Should I use a patch to remove an encrusted blackhead?

It is not recommended to use a patch to remove an encrusted blackhead, patches being rather recommended for blackheads present on the surface of the skin. Indeed, patches are not the most recommended method because they can damage the protective film of the skin, the hydrolipidic film. Imagine, at the same time as you tear off your patch, with more or less delicacy depending on its adhesion to the skin, you are also damaging the hydrolipidic film. It is therefore absolutely not recommended if you have dry skin or sensitive skin.

How to prevent the arrival of an encrusted blackhead or a deep blackhead?

So far, I've given you my tips for removing an encrusted blackhead. But it is still better to prevent their arrival, and not have to struggle to remove them!

Also, to avoid the appearance of blackheads, you will have to adopt an appropriate facial routine!

Blackheads are present particularly by excess sebum on the face. The thing to do, if you have oily skin or combination skin, is to properly cleanse your face every day with a suitable cleansing product. You can also find my article below:

Don't forget to exfoliate your face once or twice depending on your situation. And once a week, when you have a little more time, you can make yourself a green clay mask, ideal for absorbing excess sebum like a blotter.
